Review on Xantrex 8080915 PROwatt Transfer Switch by Mark Clark

I used it on the side of the AC outlets of my electrical box so it wouldn't interfere with high powered appliances like the microwave, water heater and air conditioner. However, the switch that powers it was a 20A breaker, which is more than the box's rating. I'm not sure if they make a 20A version, but in my case it would be slightly better since I'm using an electric heater and coffee pot in this circuit, which combined exceed the box's rating. The wires coming out of the box are a bit short, and the line and load wires are on opposite sides, making it impossible to connect the breaker box without extending it. To avoid floating grounds I followed the connection made in the switch box with the neutral going to the neutral bar and the ground going to the ground bar and hot going from switch to switch and then to the hot black wire and everything seemed to work fine.
