Maybe it's the nature of the animal.
This may sound normal and "understandable" to most people, but be sure to clean this part before use . There were metal shavings in my fitting that came off easily. It was for the fuel line so it could have gone to the injectors if I hadn't checked. Good for connecting 3/8 to 5/16 injector lines, no leaks and of course made in the USA so I bought these.
