Just don't overfill
you have a fill line and if you overfill it the bag will rupture as it expands as the liquid freezes. I actually fill them below the fill line and have never had a single crack or break. I've used it to make alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and every time I've done it there have been no leaks. What I love about them is that they close. So if you don't finish them, you can just zip them and save them for later. A funnel definitely helps with filling, and pouches help keep fingers or hands warm, but they help keep popsicles cold.
