As they often say around here, "You get what you pay forโ. Definitely not for critical applications. If you just want to know if a vacuum is present, that's fine, but I wouldn't trust the readings to be very accurate. In my case I use it to control the vacuum in a vacuum wood lathe chuck and in most cases I can work for this use as long as I have a vacuum of 1/2 to 2/3 full scale given that that wood is very porous at first and I just want to hold it to shut it down a bit. What I found was that the packaging was adequate, bubble wrap in a matching box, but that's pretty much a plus. On the other hand - I bought two, one came with an arrow already with a reading of about 3, the other had one of the screws attaching the body / body was cross-threaded and didn't hold anything due to the gap between the screw heads. and case. On both gauges I was able to remove the case and fix the readings and the cross-threaded screw. In my opinion at least two of these could be set up if you don't mind a bit of mechanical work and have the skills required to set them up for most non-critical uses.
