Brackets for cornices. They work.

Look, these are curtain rod brackets. Not super fancy, came in black. I think you could paint them any color you want. I didn't use any mounting hardware, I mean you probably could, but they're pretty heavy (is that a word?), decent wall anchors would be better, like the old spring anchors or those cool nylon zip ties. - Tie the wall anchors tumbler style. Mine hit the frame around the window. The bar just fell down and gently clicked into place. Boom. Did.
