Keeps drinks hot for hours simply by placing a mug on the coaster. I wish there was an option to turn off the flashing white light when not in use as the only way to turn it off is to leave the cup without a saucer or put it in the wrong spot which causes it to keep flashing. I wish there were more color options but overall this is a great mug! Be sure to clean the bottom of the cup and/or saucer, as coffee residue over time will cause the cup to become unresponsive to the bottom. After flushing with isopropanol it worked again.
