Quality, Simplicity, Good Battery Life

First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by this camera trap. I expected it to be a 50/50 since I like half and dislike the other half. The camera actually gave me 95% satisfaction. Personally, I've found that the key to using trail cameras successfully is understanding how all the options work AND interact with each other. You should learn what each setting does in order for each security camera to work, but don't expect to get in-depth knowledge from the user guide. Check out some review sites that rate security cameras and check their features, before you buy them. This is also very important when you need to place the camera, as the environment will affect the way the security camera works and how you should configure the settings. I bought this security camera and another brand at the same time, but both were almost identical in terms of parameters, so I had a good comparison. I installed both in the same locations with the same settings and USOGOOD worked great while the other camera kept losing power. After changing location and camera settings eight times, USOGOOD was the clear winner. Unfortunately, the competition burned out 64 AA batteries while USOGOOD was still running on its first 8 AA batteries. USOGOOD also triggered 95% of the time with real wildlife movements, compared to the movement of leaves, trees, etc. I like the ability to narrow down the detection area when I want to capture activity in a narrow field, such as focus on my squirrel/rabbit traps. WiFi/Blue Tooth didn't work as expected but it's probably my fault for not doing more research. This security camera will not connect to your home WiFi. What it does is it uses a blue tooth in the app that you need to download to turn on the trail camera's WiFi so you can connect to the trail camera's own WiFi hotspot. It only connects through the app. Is it worth spending extra money to buy a security camera with this option? It depends on the user. If your camera is mounted in an awkward location (high up in a tree or on the side of a building), it's worth it because you can connect, change settings, view the captured images, and check battery life. Someone like me who uses it at ground level doesn't really need this extra option. I used it to download an interesting photo or video, but the download time for higher level photos and videos is long. It also uses battery so I usually just pull out the card. You also have the option to change the quality and duration of the videos you record to save battery life. The same applies to photographs. I also like the simplicity of the buttons and menus. It is very easy to navigate through menus, Make changes and view videos and photos. The screen is a bit small, but my eyes are also a bit old. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and really hope it will stand the test of time, not life but at least 2-3 years.
