Good price with one big downside

I've had the camera for a few days now and it's a great price. I agree with the positive reviews, but wanted to point out a defect in the product that should be remedied by the manufacturer. As mentioned in other reviews, this is not a 24/7 camera. It only records when motion is detected. As with many cameras of this type, there is a gap between detecting motion and actually starting to record the 20-second motion video. So when you're watching a video on your iPhone, you might not see the person approaching your front door. The video can start with the person already standing at your door, or in extreme cases the video can start with the person leaving. This delay between the movement and the start of the video is a common problem with all motion detection cameras, so I don't blame the product for this. But support me in this, because there is a mistake here. A video recorded and available in the app cannot simply be sent to someone (police, insurance, etc.). The app has a feature to send a still image, but to send a video you literally have to play it and press the record button to capture the video that's already on the phone. The app doesn't let you click record and then play to capture the entire video. You need to press the play button and then quickly press the record button. This results in you wasting 2-3 seconds of video of which you have already lost 2-3 seconds to create a separate video to broadcast. After initially losing 3 seconds due to a gap in motion detection and then another 2-3 seconds due to an archaic hoop you have to jump over to create a video to broadcast, you've lost the first 6 seconds of your video when You want to send this to someone. I have a camera so I can be notified if a package is left on my doorstep. It's perfect for that and I recommend it. If being able to send full video to the police or insurance is important to you, I would recommend a 24/7 camera. The strange thing about this deficiency is that it can be fixed. The video is already on my phone. Why would I lose the first three seconds just to send it? Anyway I hope this review helps someone. My overall impression is that this is a great camera for its purpose and I can recommend it.
