I found the drill bit that came with it to be blunt and small so it moved too much in the pilot holes. I used a set of drill bits to find the best fit and used some soft side clips to hold the guide in place once set for drilling. Otherwise, it will move too much if you only use it with your hands and will be too uncomfortable. ALL lights of the same design have the same problem. I suspect that only expensive American devices will be better (3 times more expensive). I've found this bracket to be great for cabinets and drawers with handles that are set off the edge. But it was too big and clunky for the door handles on the top corner of the door (1 x 1 inch offset at the top and side). For these I used more standard measurement and search methods. I found the construction to be solid, and when used with clips to attach to doors or drawer fronts, it's a dream to line up two handle holes, move to the next drawer clip, and repeat.
