Review on 🎨 Melissa & Doug Water Reveal Activity Arts & Crafts Set by Mike Martz

I have several Melissa & Doug products and I think they need to find a new manufacturer or discontinue them. I wanted something I could travel with and take my baby home with me. I love how they thought of a built in water brush compartment (1 star) and then the disappointments set in. First, you can't fold the pages like you can in a regular notepad. The packaging appears to be the perfect design for hanging a book on a hook in a shop, but this makes the book feel much larger when open (not ideal for travel). The second problem is related to the water brush that comes with the kit. A lot of water comes out of that thing. I can see drops of water sitting on the side, which makes the no-clutter claim in my book wrong. I will say that the idea of finding hidden objects is pretty cool (so another star for that) and the images are bright and appear instantly. However, there is a major downside to these books being reusable. As you can see from one of the photos I provided, the material that reacts with water is starting to wear out. It happened within minutes of the first day after I gave the book to my child. I think the idea here is great, but they need improvement. Looking ahead, I would really think twice before buying any Melissa & Doug item that isn't a wooden toy.
