They are perfect as advertised. No burrs or defects often found on cheap imitations. They are also presented in a simple and beautiful packaging. Ideal for a gift. None of this bothered me when I bought it. My thumb keeps getting stuck in my old scissors and I wanted new sewing scissors (not "good sewing scissors" but for finer detailing). I needed scissors that cut from the tip to the spine. It seems very strange that one even has to mention what they want from their cutting shears, but we live in an age where there is so much junk. I often need very sharp points as well as the length of the blade and the end of the blade which is the shank. (I was looking up what this ending is called just for this review. I thought these scissors deserved it.) And all of this goes for tiny scissors too! What a nice bonus. Haven't tried the sewing thimble but it's good for comfort and adjustability. This can be absolute rubbish and will not lower my overall rating. They are so cute and create such a beautiful atmosphere that they almost motivate me to make my study spotless. Vicinity.
