The product works exactly as described provided you read the specs and what it supports and don't just buy blindly like some people have done in the reviews. Supports two external monitors with the following resolution configuration: 2160 x 3840 in portrait - external LG 3840 x 2160 (native monitor/laptop resolution) 3440 x 1440 in landscape - 2nd external external LG 27" and 34" monitors are displayed correctly with limited visual lag. It fits perfectly into my setup for work. That would be terrible for gaming, but the product specifically says it's for performance, not gaming or graphics. I'm using a USB-C interface, not type 2. Complete plug and play. The time to install and resume work was the same as it took me to hook up everything I needed.
