I am a professional home and personal chef and also teach cooking and knife handling skills. I take all my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items, other accessories and groceries very seriously. When I test and review culinary items, I am very critical and meticulous about rating and rating. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good... bad is bad! This set of pots and pans looks great, but are they good for cooking? That is the question. The design of the pans seems reasonable and the handles are long and comfortable to use. A non-stick surface made of unspecified material can be scratched and should never be used at temperatures above medium-high. The precaution that MUST be taken is to NEVER use metal utensils with the set. A scratch will expose everything beneath the top non-stick surface and can cause problems. Heating these pans to high temperatures can release potentially harmful substances. For long-term care, they should definitely not be washed in the dishwasher, although they are probably dishwasher safe. A manual wash with a little washing-up liquid should be enough to clean them properly. Cooking with it properly at the specified heat levels and using non-metallic cookware, this set can last a long time. The name of the game with them is CARE. They are absolutely food safe. UNTIL THE SURFACE OF THE DISCOVERY IS SCRATCHED OR STAINED. They are made of aluminum and are very light. It's easy to handle the weight of almost anyone. A thin stainless steel disc is attached to the underside, which allows the use of induction hobs or hotplates. Also, the seller doesn't mention if ANY of the sets are suitable for the oven or what temperature they can handle. In general, this is an average set of dishes that can be cheaper than the current cost and on the level that can be found in a regular warehouse or in a large store. I rate them THREE STARS, which means GOOD to me, but not very good or excellent. This can be a good starter kit for a new home cook or someone on a budget.
