The Sette 270 is a great precision espresso grinder. It can grind a bit coarsely, but not coarse enough for a French press; maybe rough enough for Chemex. Grinding espresso is very fast: 18 g are ground in about 6 seconds. This version is not designed for weighing, so I weigh the grains beforehand. I fill in pre-measured grains and press the preset button, which grinds for 10 seconds. This is pretty good for making sure everything gets fully shredded. There are many settings to perfectly adjust your grind level. The grind quality is the best of any coffee grinder I've tried. I live in an arid climate prone to static electricity and lumps in the sanding. This is the first coffee grinder that does not give lumps. I don't do anything to prep the beans, add moisture or anything. There are simply no lumps when grinding coffee. I don't know how they do it, but it's amazing. Removing the burr is relatively easy. You just have to be careful to screw it in correctly (see the manual). Screwing it in incorrectly can damage the spring inside that tells the grinder that the grind is set. Then the coffee grinder does not switch on. Also, I expect this grinder will serve you well for many years to come.
