The front of my 73 gallon nose was covered with colonies of algae that usually take a lot of washing to remove. It's a giant, but if you slowly move the pieces together and apart, it's easy to add and remove from the tank each time. In just a few passes, the front of my tank was completely cleared. It takes a bit of effort to get this to work, and you really want to avoid sealant and gravel (stop immediately and remove at least one piece of gravel if it gets between the pieces). I know after one use that it was worth the money.
