I saved a few hundred dollars buying a new tablet.

I replaced the battery on my iPad touch 1st generation and the touchscreen is damaged. I created some dead zones. I personally thought it was the LCD screen that needed replacing. Wow, I was wrong. Then I found out that the part that makes the touch function work is called a digitizer and it was very affordable. This product worked very well for me as I already knew how to disassemble my iPad. I did it in less than 20 minutes. No more dead zones. My iPad is ready to use again. Let's see how long-term operation will be.
