Have used it a few times and it seems to do the trick. Goes perfectly with my carbon steel pan and needs the same care. The design of the handle and the attachment give the impression of a high risk of burns on the forearm. After reading reviews about it, I used a broken branch on our birch and four more screws to avoid the risk of burns. You can see the added screws in the photo. Black countersunk screws would be nicer! The thicker handle is much more comfortable to grip and hold in different positions than the included one. If it doesn't hold, I try a thick dowel from the hardware store.
