Review on Dyson 916200 01 Duct Iron Assembly by Rebecca Walker

I bought this to replace the main body of our DC25. One of the pins broke off at the junction of the leg (the part that fixes the vacuum cleaner in an upright position), necessitating reassembly of the main body. I looked at several vacuum cleaner repair sites online and they all wanted a crazy price (about double what I paid for this item at Revain). The main body swap is not for the faint of heart. This took about an hour as I have to take all the parts out of the old vacuum and use them to "restore" on the new body - electrics, pipes, screws, everything. However, since the DC25 is no longer made by Dyson (and equivalent models aren't as good), a replacement is a good option. If you try to replace this part, there is a video on youtube that describes the whole process (not mine). Search for "Dyson DC25 Exploded View". It shows what it's all about.
