Once upon a time made of wood.
Simple Answer. Although it is not a real "wood" block. it has a benefit. This material is more likely to be chipboard or fiberboard/clipboard material. Heavily compacted wood mulch, sawdust, glue etc. has a veneer on one side. I had all edges clean, well packaged, the veneer of 1 piece was not neatly trimmed but that didn't prevent me from using it for what I needed as it wouldn't be visible. After that has been said. Do not use it outdoors or near water. No building assessment. Good for crafts, simple toys and odd jobs around the house. I will buy again!
