I've dropped my remote countless times. I definitely crossed the line of probability as to when it should have crashed. This case has definitely extended the life of the remote control from accidents. Take this one and not the others. It's thin and has great grip. It doesn't get dirty or sticky and I have kids under 7 who play with it. It's worth it. Other plus points: * Magnets can be removed. *Even if they don't fit you, you can replace them with a stronger magnet* The TV magnet is really commonplace, I've tried but I just ran the risk of getting my TV dirty with dirty hands. Also, it looks ugly with the TV remote on the side. I'm not happy about having to store it like a regular remote.* The control is slightly raised off the surface (like a bridge) at each end, leaving less room for mess if you put it in a dirty spot. accidentally.* Ergonomically padded handle. Sometimes I just pick up the remote control to play with the sleeve. but don't do it. You'll end up switching channels and shows, and possibly turning off your TV. Just use it as it's intended.* I've never played or used an app that required me to use the touch platform sides on the remote. So don't make it the deciding factor in choosing the right case. This spacer fits.
