It takes a while to get used to

I've tried SO many different boots to keep my dog's feet dry while walking. When I first tried them they were terrible and I thought I would never use them again. BUT after having no luck with the others I tried again and now we only use these booties. But you have to consider a few things. Make sure you use the right size, too small and they will tear (if you can wear them at all) but too big won't work either. I've tried sizing the booties to make them easier to pull out, but if they're loose and even a little wet while walking, they bunch up and stick to themselves, becoming uncomfortable for the dog and also increasing the likelihood by tearing.2 . Reuse. As I mentioned earlier, when they get wet they tend to stick together and are difficult to put on and can tear. But I have found that baby powder is an easy solution to this problem. I put a little powder in each shoe after each use and rub until the stickiness is gone. It also helps reduce sweaty feet. They stretch a bit around the ankle which makes them easier to put on. So as long as they don't tear, a pair worn a few times is perfect!3. The most important. Be careful not to leave them on for long periods of time when your dog is inactive, especially when he is sleeping. As the dog walks, the booties stretch and circulation is not an issue (provided the correct size is used). But when the dog is resting/sleeping, the lack of exercise can lead to circulatory problems. That's the problem I had the first time. Now I wear them when we go for a walk or to the park, but I don't leave them in the car or at home. I use a bandage one size larger than he normally wears so it doesn't cut or bleed. I would give 5 stars if there were more sizes. My pup is between L and XL and there is such a big difference between the two that I feel like they should be somewhere in between. The Ls are a bit tight around the ankle (but they stretch after a while so we can deal with that) and the XL is too big for him to walk comfortably. They're a little pricey for one-time use, but if they don't tear and you can reuse them, they're worth it.
