I needed to replace an old BT headset adapter that is no longer available and ended up dying. After ruling out most of the alternatives based on reviews for one reason or another, I settled on this one. It came 3 days earlier than expected. Judging from the photos and possibly a review I was concerned about how strong the clip might be but it turned out to be very sturdy - in fact the whole device seems to be quite solid and solidly made. I use it with an Etymotic MC3, mainly for gardening, and an iPhone 5s. I can't tell any difference in sound quality between a direct wired connection and a Bluetooth connection (even the volume levels are almost indistinguishable!). I turn it up full volume - although the Etymotic does an excellent job of isolating noise and residual grass Mower noise can mask a very faint passage at lower levels. I mainly listen to orchestral, choir or solo music. Mahler's Second Symphony is an excellent test of the tonal system and thanks to this arrangement it sounds excellent: from soft solo passages to full organ, choir, low brass, timpani, all strings in fortissimo to ascending piccolo and soprano everything sounds great. The battery lasted at least 7 hours. I don't know what the maximum it will work, but it worked great from the ground floor to the basement, through some walls and the floor; 15 meters no problem. I've only been using it for a few days, so I can't comment on its reliability yet. I haven't used it extensively for phone calls, but I tried it and the party on the other end said the quality was fine; sounded ok to me too. added august 30: I forgot to mention that I tried activating Siri while using APEKX and it worked fine. addendum. On 05/21/18 (after 9 months of use) I found that the adapter suddenly stopped working. (Everything worked fine the day before) Didn't turn on. Since I thought the battery was completely empty, I tried to charge it. The red "charging" light came on, but after 3 hours of charging it still didn't work. I contacted the supplier through the Revain link and they gave me a discount code to order a new one for next to nothing. All I had to pay was about $5 for shipping. (Of course if I was the main donor it would be $0.) It came today 5/25. on!
