Review on Bosch 04170 Ignition Rotor by Gabriel Rosenberg

BOSCH Correct Part Numbers

Folks, in general BOSCH has gotten a bit sloppy and sloppy when it comes to sticking to the correct part numbers. For example, I used a specific spark plug and it worked fine. When I contacted BOSCH they said it was the wrong spark plug while other reputable parts suppliers said it was correct. The thing about this rotor is the size of the shaft. The Bosch 04170 ignition rotor has a 10mm shaft and the Bosch 04038 ignition rotor has a 14mm shaft. Oh no! disassembled ignition and find that the rotor is wrong and you need to order another. The parts I received from BOSCH were made in Spain. What happened to Germany, like many other outsourcing companies, has become the new normal. Do your research and don't just rely on BOSCH.
