I was expecting a much larger hook and strap from the photos. These look tiny in comparison. However, they look strong and are great for my purpose. I use them with straps to remove my Jeep's hard top. So I can attest that four of them could easily hold a 100 pound load. I'm sure they will store something on the roof of your car as well. Just note that they are only about 15cm long and the actual hook is no more than 2.5cm wide. They came in a cute pouch so you don't lose them either. I just wish they were a little longer and had a wider hook for my purpose.
