Review on Hillsdale Montello 32 Inch Swivel Leather by Caleb Thomas

Nice chair. It's so well built. The welds are strong and look good. I am replacing a twelve year old chair set that I love so much. I tied an old zipper together because a lot of the welds just failed over the years. It's finally time to say goodbye to them. I was so pleased with the quality construction of this new chair. Welds are much stronger. Better than the standard on the market today. I compared many chairs before deciding on this one. The vinyl seat is easy to clean. It has a light texture and subtle color variations, making it feel more like real leather. The top "wood" piece on the back of the chair is also textured. It's very strong and doesn't wobble at all where it's bolted to the metal frame. The swing function is not a free swing. This requires some weight on the chair and conscious pressure to rotate the seat. That's nice. My old chairs rocked more freely and often my little fingers accidentally got stuck between the back of the chair and the table top. As for the color of the metal. It has a very golden metallic tone. This is not the real bronze/black/grey look. There are gold flecks on my granite surfaces that make this chair look golden. I might consider painting them black but color issue aside I think this is an amazingly well made and good looking chair.
