This is a low speed cold/dry saw. Some people rate the type of saw versus the saw itself. With the right blade and technique, this type of saw is a very useful tool for cutting metal for pipe, bar, and angles. The stock OEM blade it came with seems to be pretty good and I'm getting nice, clean, smooth cuts and no signs of wear after probably 100 cuts. The saw itself seems well built, I like the mechanism of the blade head, it has very little to no backlash, the motor has enough power for this type of cutting. Getting an accurate cut ultimately depends on the clamp. While you have to take your time and use a square straight edge and random spacers, I can't think of any other clamping system that would be much better at this price point. If you try to cut through your cuts like you would with an abrasive cutoff saw, you won't get good cutting results or long blade life. You must use appropriate speed and pressure.
