I bought this because I needed to protect some POE devices I have around the house. minimal tests, they are probably the real deal. Using my multimeter in continuous mode, I checked the ground wire to the chassis, the RJ45 jack, and the tabs on the jack that would connect to the shielded ethernet cable. Everything lined up. well that's nice to see. I just hope I don't have to see them in person, but I really hope they protect my gear better than most other cheaper grounding tools.
