I bought the Hitch Up to replace a homemade platform I made out of wood a few years ago that I recently destroyed by hitting a pole. Our labrador used it quite comfortably but I just didn't have time to make a new one. I had high hopes for this one. It was durable and well made, but in the end, even after many gentle attempts at encouragement, my dog was just afraid to use it - he just didn't have it. The powder coating platform is slippery on dog paws and just not intuitive. I wish it had a non-slip pad or carpet and a slight downward angle like my old one.
