My old thermometer broke and I urgently needed a replacement. I've seen a lot of thermometers, but this unit seemed to have a few other options (dual sensor for oven/grill) for about the same price, so I decided to give it a try. Thanks to Prime, the device was delivered the next day. Also included: thermometer, oven probe, spare battery and good operating instructions. The only option I had was to use a thermometer and it was quick and accurate. When you open the needle probe, the device will turn on automatically. When the light button is pressed, the LED lights up. There is a hold setting to hold the temperature while you remove the probe and an alarm setting to set a high temperature alarm. Next time I'll use an extra oven probe on my smoker and check it out. The device has a magnet so you can attach it to your fridge for quick access. I measured my fried chicken in about 3 seconds and it was accurate. Only thing is it doesn't tell you what the warranty is but someone asked and it was 1 year. Great purchase so far!
