I find it much better than flossing, although it takes time to get used to it. I recommend starting with a thinner size and moving up to a wider one. GUM now makes a handle and you can use brushes individually. It's cheaper and the long, toothbrush-like handle is easier to use. I recommend buying a few brushes of different widths (I call them "trees") and then investing in a pen and more "trees" in the width you need. My dental hygienist introduced them to me because I have a bridge and they work really well here. I also have gaps between my molars that get popcorn (I badly know), nuts etc between my teeth. It's amazing how much my "trees" are removed after brushing my teeth.
