I've been doing minor electrical work for decades. I've always hated wire nuts because I just have a hard time trusting them. I've had far too many encounters finding loose wire nuts and questionable wiring situations behind switches, outlets, and fixtures. As all of these things with smart features get bigger, there's even less room for everything that fits in boxes. They are very easy to use: determine the number of wires, select the desired wago, cut the bare wire to the required length (if necessary), fix it. , make sure nothing comes loose when packing, or secure the connections with tape (no, no, anyway). They're a little more expensive, but you can easily save on this by saving time and effort. All I can say is give them a try. I promise you will never come back.
