Review on Instant Pot 20-Cup Rice Cooker, Carb Reducing Multi-Cooker For Grains & Rice With 8 Presets - No Compromise On Taste Or Texture by Beth Martin

Made 2020 somewhat bearable.

One of my favorite buys this year. Seriously. This rice cooker is going to stay with me until its final days.Zero negatives for this product. Rice, and every other grain I've tried, has come out perfect every time. Super easy to clean. You can pop off the metal plate on the inside of the lid and wipe it dry, and the rice pot itself can be taken out and run through the dishwasher. There's a little plastic container on the side that collects condensation; simply pop out and drain after you finish cooking. No excess water, no mess, no sticky leftover starch.I've used this to cook plenty of medium and long grain white rice. My favorite thing to cook, however, are batches of mixed grains: brown rice, barley, wild rice, and quinoa, set to cook under the "brown rice" setting and following those same instructions for water amounts. To those having issues with this rice cooker: make sure to use the included measuring cup, and wash/rinse your grains until the water runs clear. Washing rice removes bitterness and excess starch that can build up in your cooker and spill over.

Pros
  • Its compact size makes it perfect for small kitchens or apartments
Cons
  • The cooker can sometimes be prone to errors if you don't follow the instructions exactly
