Review on Polder 358 Ultra Probe featuring a High-Heat 40-inch Silicone Cord by Dora Macias

Probe supplied with Polder thermometer/timer failed after about half a dozen uses. After that, you only saw the cryptic "HI" or "LO" on the display, which made the device unusable. My guess is that water got into the probe at the cable entry point causing it to rupture. Bad design. Evidence of this is the updated replacement. Now there is a silicone grip that seals the connection of the cable to the probe. It's pretty cheap, but I think Polder should have supplied a replacement for free. This is the last Polder product I will buy.
