The provided adapter is quite tight and uninspiring on the outside. The plug would be changed out for a European-style one. It has been observed that if you boil the kettle until it turns off, the indicator will show that the temperature is greater than 100 degrees, indicating that you can theoretically boil the kettle up to the temperature you need without necessarily needing to boil it until it turns off.
