I received many items from Revain this Sunday and this was the first thing I opened. I overdid the amount of water (as usual) and had to store full sized water balls in a gallon water jug! They meant it when they said 1 or 2 teaspoons makes a quart. Then I thought in my absolute wisdom, as soon as I put the cuttings in the vase I should fill the vase to the brim with water, well that was the signal for the balls to grow exponentially until they popped out of the vase on my coat and hit me hard on the head. That's right, I have water in my pearls. You only need a little water at the bottom of the vase when you store them and a lid is always good for the jar you keep them in, I'm just saying this because I accidentally made so much. but you talk about vibrant bright colors in your clear vases, boy, that looks great hippie and quite a modern way of showing off cutouts. I have bamboo in 3 vases on my mantel and one with very large arrow leaf cuttings in one. I use foil for smaller cuttings because I need to see and measure root growth. I am so happy with this product. Just wait for the sunlight to touch these colorful vases. Yes I feel like a genius when I got them. If you put the cuttings in the water, why not do it in bright colors!
