I didn't buy it because of the speed. I knew they were slow. I bought it for the nice THICK heavy plastic body and silky smooth action. The cap doesn't completely cover the bottom of the USB port so it's not as static, but I've never had a problem with it. The construction is second to none. That's why I love her. Yes, and they're not exactly incredibly slow or even annoyingly slow. Just a little slower than you would expect from a fast modern USB drive.
