I was skeptical of this from reading the comments but purchased it anyways for Valentines Day. I absolutely love it! It is a halter top with no padding in the bra area. The straps tighten in the back though for plenty of support. I hated the G string that it came with so I'd opt for other parties if you plan ahead. It's absolutely gorgeous and flattering. I'm 5'2 and 105lbs and got a sm.
