UPDATE: After making this short video and posting this review, I took this luggage rack on an overland trip from New York to Montana. and back! The trunk carried my mountain bike flawlessly on freeways and jeep roads. The only annoying thing about this rack is that you have to tip it over to open the tailgate, but for me it's worth it given the aerodynamics this rack offers! I got over 30mpg with this trunk, which is my normal mileage, so it offered no drag. As I mention in my video, I'm a little more supportive of using my roof rack. but this is the best rack I have ever tried. Watch my video for a full review. You need a 2" coupler or an adapter that fits a 2" rack to install this rack. I'm using it on our hatchback in this video, but I've also used it on my pickup. Suitable for four bikes, but you can easily ride in twos or threes. My final word to you should be bungee (see my picture for example) as you will need good elastic cords to use this rack so the bikes don't bang against the back of the car. Bungee them well and you'll be in good shape. As you can see in my picture, I tighten the front wheel to keep it from moving and then spin the bike back and forth to keep it from wobbling.
