Believe it or not, purchased this to find the general direction of entrance-exit doors, in large stores when shopping. So many times, after winding through a large store, if you don't know the store well, finding the door you came in, isn't always an easy task. :)It's not a compass I would count on, out in the wilderness, but for a general local direction (no, I do not use GPS) it's good enough. It's nicely made and small enough to fit in my pocket or add to a key-chain.Thankfully, I won't need this when shopping on Ebay, unless they start taking over retail stores!
