DETUCK(TM) Pocket Compass: Outdoor Antique Hiking Hunting Camping Survival Tool Review

Okay for my son but the top round thing (top part - white round one) is easily moving. Once it moved we don't know the direction.

Believe it or not, purchased this to find the general direction of entrance-exit doors, in large stores when shopping. So many times, after winding through a large store, if you don't know the store well, finding the door you came in, isn't always an easy task. :)It's not a compass I would count on, out in the wilderness, but for a general local direction (no, I do not use GPS) it's good enough. It's nicely made and small enough to fit in my pocket or add to a key-chain.Thankfully, I won't need

Looks fine, works fine; but came in 1 day late. Never put in correct mailbox the day the post office said that it was. That's my review!

The first thing was the box was crushed but the compass looked ok. The ring was bent so when I went to straighten it, it broke. The metal ring was really soft. I but it in the light for 5 minutes to see how long it would be illuminated. It only lasted a couple of minutes not nearly as long as advertised. I’ll be looking for another compass.

I bought one of these as a gift for my friend, and he liked it so much. I was so impressed with it that I actually bought a second for myself. The outer ring as well as the directional indicators do glow in the dark properly. I used this compass for guidance when stargazing and it was very useful. The quality is so good that I'm impressed these are as inexpensive as they are (not that I'm complaining, of course!)

Came promptly, looks great! A gift for almost 7-year-old, he'll love it. It appears to work properly, it pointed north when I opened it 🙂

It may not be a fancy compass in terms of ruggedness, but it is true to north. Fancy looking compass but not "Fancy”. price is a little much considering there are compasses that are identical to this one for less money. I also really like how this compass glows in the dark!

Compass works as advertised - N points accurately toward magnetic north. Case is attractive yet clumsy to open. Is a great value for the price.

Looks good, but thinks that southwest is north. so doesn't actually work as a compass. After contacting the seller that corrected the issue and replaced it immediately. And when k got the replacement. it worked like it should!

The compass came slightly damaged, it was difficult to open, and you had to hold it at *just* the right angle for it to function. It did seem to point north, but I bought it as a gift and it wasn't nice enough to give.

What I especially like is the size. You can just put it in your pocket or purse and away you go. The price is not expensive either. I would recommend buying it.

Just what I wanted my dad gave me one like this when I was a boy I lost it and this is as close as I could find The accuracy of the compass may be affected by the user's hand movements or magnetism from nearby objects.

This is probably the least accurate compass I have ever used. Finicky to balance, shotty direction. Would I rely on this device to find my way back? Def not

ok. you get what u pay for. not bad,, is magnetic,, so,, pocket/jack knife will make needle go crazy, or anything magnetic.

This compass arrived scratched up with no protective cover. It works okay so I kept it and just tossed it in my tackle box. I guess I got what I paid for.
