I bought these for the unique shape and glamorous gold style. They justify their claim that drinks should be cold. After I bought them, I was emailed with suggestions on how to optimize the chill factor, which was helpful (after inserting the stones, wait a minute or two for the stones to absorb the liquid before enjoying cooling down). The tray, tongs and stones were gift ready and I would buy them again for myself or someone else. The stones look great in a glass (nice aesthetic) and cool well. Highly recommended.
