Review on πŸ“Ί Samsung 55-inch TU-7000 Series Smart TV - Crystal UHD - 4K HDR - Alexa Built-in (2020 Model) by Ryan Olsen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You get what you pay for.

I gave this 3 stars as the TV works as it should and it's my fault for not doing my homework (I didn't buy it from Revain - it was the last one, which I still had in store a few days back and the last one in my area. It was a good price so I jumped at it and thought I'd post a warning here). I assumed all 4k TVs ran at 120Hz at the time - little did I know that new 60Hz TVs were still being made. I continued to play around with the image as my almost 11 year old Samsung 1080p 240Hz 55 inch looked better. Well, that's why the refresh rate is 240Hz. When I read the specs online, I was shocked to see a 60Hz refresh rate ("moving speed 120" is just a useless catchphrase used to describe low quality TVs sell, such as "explosive processing" to sell the Sega Genesis to those old enough to remember). I still love Samsung and will buy a better TV from this brand if I can. Had I known the refresh rate was only 60Hz, I would never have guessed (I wish the store I went to had the full specs on the product card. But yeah, that's my fault). If you don't play video games or aren't very picky about picture quality in movies, this TV will suffice. If you play games and value the picture quality of your movies, you get what you pay for with electronics.
