As of April 2020 this is the only charger capable of delivering 4 x 1.5A for 18650 (4 x 3A for 21700). All other 2x18650 or 2x27100 chargers from different brands only give 0.5 or 1A. I suspect they probably use the same chips. MiBoxer put effort into designing the circuit and deserves a lot of credit for it. However, there is clear potential for improvement. The connector is still a 12V DC pin. The power supply is very bulky and heavy. It delivers 12V 5A=60W power. From 2020 everything is moving towards USB-C (PD) Power Delivery. If you design it to use USB-C PD, I can just plug it into any >= 60W wall charger and you're done. I could take this charger anywhere. From 2020, 12V DC plugs will no longer be used. There's a reason USB was invented, U for universal. Conclusion: An excellent charger. Something innovative. Could change the rules of the game.
