Good monitor - my new test

I needed a wide monitor so I could work with two or three windows open at the same time without having to use multiple monitors on the same workstation. I know this is advertised as a "gaming" monitor, but I'm not a gamer. I'm a writer, so I mostly use LibreOffice and/or FocusWriter to create stories and customize the book's layout. I also manage my home library from this station, and it's useful to be able to display information about, say, a century of adventure history in the German and library thing fields at the same time as I'm entering information. It's also useful when entering data from online bank statements and/or mutual fund reports into a spreadsheet. The monitor fits in the available space on my desk and doesn't interfere with other items. Assembly is easy, there are instructions but I didn't use them. On the back of the monitor are standard VGA and HDMI interfaces and possibly more. I used the VGA interface on my "Antique". Fedora Core 33 has easily adapted to the new monitor. The screen curvature took a few minutes to get used to, but after the first period of getting used to it I didn't notice it anymore. All in all I'm glad I bought this monitor and saved myself the difference with an HDMI TV which I didn't need at all. I've been using Samsung devices for a number of years and there's never been one that didn't work well. The only product I've ever had to replace was a TV that my adult, severely autistic son threw in a fit of rage. and even that CAN be fixed I think as only the screen was broken. I don't think you can go wrong with this one, and while you can get perfectly usable monitors for five bucks at thrift stores these days, this one beats them by a mile.
