I bought these to use as shorts while waveguide riding. The material is of good thickness and these are study shorts. Unfortunately the largest size is too tight around my waist. The cut of the shorts is also not very anatomically oriented and while riding I noticed that they can be very uncomfortable in the crotch area. I don't think going up a size helps, it has more to do with the number of seams/cuts and how well they fit the body. These are good shorts when they fit properly, but otherwise they can be quite uncomfortable.
