This monitor will work for what I'm using it for, but if you're a gamer I don't think you'll want to choose this one. First, there is simply no permission. I don't know why but I have much older monitors with better picture quality and use a direct HDMI to HDMI connection. The next thing I missed and was really disappointed with is that this monitor doesn't have speakers. It wasn't obvious to me and I guess I'm just assuming this new monitor will have speakers with HDMI connections, so make sure you use a laptop speaker when using this beautiful monitor. Another thing that disappointed me a bit. what is the lack of customization flexibility in the stand. You basically have a limited incline setting and that's it. No height adjustment, no left to right adjustment, nothing. Bottom line: if you need a large monitor and you're going to set it up, sit in the same place and work on spreadsheets or word docs etc, then this is a solid choice for the money. . But when you do more, videos, games, you need a really crisp picture on your screen and you need nice, clear sound. Then not a good choice.
