Hard but uncut cheddar
I bought this because I noticed that each piece is a solid piece (no joints, no welds) and I was impressed. Unfortunately, the slicer is very blunt and doesn't have enough angles to actually cut through any of the blocks of American cheese we've tried it on - cheddar, Monterey, and mozzarella. Love the feel, the handle is a good size and light weight in the hand and as I said it's a solid piece. but now it languishes in the cutlery drawer in hopes that one day I can sharpen or modify the blade to actually make it work.
