Review on GELE Lead Free Lavatory 2 Handle Bathroom by Joshua Flame

Generic brand, looks like an office toilet. Extendable drain does not fit US standard size

This is my second sanitary ware of this new generic brand Gele. I like them both, they seem well built, thicker materials and feel more durable than other generic brands I've tried, no obvious issues. However, I must remind you that generic drugs will always be inferior to established brands. The finish on this is thinner and not as durable as the big brands. I see fingerprints, I think over time it may scratch or scrape. It's also metal, but there's a lot of plastic inside. There are many unknowns with generic brands in terms of quality, durability, parts availability, customer support, warranty, etc. I also had a generic plumbing fixture fail after about 30 days - thankfully I never completed the installation (I don't trust him) that So removal was easy and did no harm. But a broken plumbing fixture can easily result in thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars in damage, so keep that in mind when weighing costs etc. It looks like an office space due to the boxy design and handle colors. For the home I would prefer all black to match my other matte black lights. The pull-out drain doesn't actually fit a standard US sink. Save the old gasket as these gaskets will leak. The padding on the top should eliminate the need for plumbing putty, but it does raise the sink plug so it isn't flush with the bottom of the sink, causing a stagnant water ring. This standing water causes a stain within a week. Also, the pull-out drain has an overflow hole for overflow sinks, but it's not deep enough for standard American sinks. That means you won't realize it, but you also have standing water under your sink. This can include bacteria, slime, and mold. It can also be a breeding ground for mosquitoes. You can fix this by drilling a hole and enlarging it, but it's not that hard. But I don't think anyone really will - you'll just have problems, weird smells, bugs and you won't understand why. Perhaps most people would benefit from simply leaving their old sink drain in place. The faucet itself seems fine (again, my reservations about generic brands). Looks cool, works well. But with the unknowns coupled with pop-up drain issues, I strongly encourage you to look at some well-known brands of faucets first.
