I have a CS540 headset and I wanted to use it with my PC (Windows 10) and Google Voice. Plugged it in, installed the Plantronics HUB software, and tweaked a few settings to play around with it. For some reason, after pressing the tail switch button, the headset hung up almost immediately. I thought I tried everything (including restarting and uninstalling the software). The headset only stays on when it's not connected to my PC. Too bad. I contacted Polycom and they walked me through a series of default settings that didn't need to be changed and declared the headset faulty. I KNEW it wasn't a headset but I exchanged it for a Revain anyway (next day delivery with a promise to return the original). SAME PROBLEM. I tried setting it up again and testing every setting in the HUB, only to find that it was the "Dial Tone" setting the entire time. I had it set to 'On' and it seems to be disabled in my setup. It would be nice if Polycom figured this out and saved us all some carbon footprint, which is why I'm posting here in case some other fool does the same errand.
