So far this is an amazing product! We've had a month. The legs are quite strong and do not slip. They hold up pretty well on both my hardwood floor and my bathroom rug. If all you have is tile I would suggest carpet, although it might be too smooth. The position of the feet affects the rigidity of the seat. It's easy to pick up and lean against a wall or shower when not in use, or when an adult is using the toilet. My boys use it without a cup in front. I was afraid they might get their privates on the hard shell as they climbed up and down, so we just threw them away. I'm not sure if that was the best idea because as they get bigger they can empty the cup while sitting. We had a problem in the beginning because I put the potty seat directly on the toilet seat and it splashed between the toilet seat and the toilet when I peed. I raised the toilet seat and put the pot right on top of the bowl and that fixed the problem. I just have to be careful not to push it back too far or the toilet seat will fall on her. Overall I like the built in stool, it doesn't have a potty reservoir to throw away and it's pretty durable and very easy to clean.
